This is an overpriced place. Don't get me wrong, the food is great, sweet full bar, and I love eating at the window table. The decor is superb and overall a really great place to introduce others to Filipino food. But it's more fusion Filipino food. The taste is elevated yes, but I wouldn't pay hipster prices for it. Especially when there's a couple places nearby that taste more soulful for less. 9/18/2018 Clearing out my unfinished reviews.

Drove almost an hour (+ another hour getting home) for an order of this Ube Passionfruit Cheesecake and it was all worth it!! As an ube and passion fruit lover I was a little hesitant that the 2 flavors would work together.. but it obviously did. Balance of flavor was perfect, not overly sweet (even with the torched meringue) or tart (from the passionfruit). Wish the ube flavor came out more, but then again maybe it won't be as "balanced" if it tasted too earth-y. Def worth trying :)

I am simply impressed. It's Filipino cuisine that has some LA swag but not overly pretentious. The food is delicious--still keeping the Filipino comfort flavors but not overly changed into something it shouldn't be just to please non-Filipinos. The atmosphere is very welcoming with dim lighting and tasteful underground hip-hop playing. The food is uber good and the drinks are uniquely yummy. I visiting during happy hour and couldn't not get a Longganisa Burger. It was everything I dreamed of. I complemented it with a Lapu Lapu cocktail (ube, rye, bitters), a concoction that blew my mind. I went with the Banana Bibingka dessert which was a nice ending to the meal--it was served perfectly warm. I only wish I came in a big group so I could have tried everything. Ma'am Sir is the truth!

Walked in to participate in the Dine LA menu. But ended up ordering off the regular menu:) Service was friendly and pleasant. The dishes were amazing. I'd love to go back for a late dinner and bar scene. My wife is a big fan of the chef and although we were sad to see Rice Bar close, Ma'am Sir surely makes up for it! The decor is cool LA for sure:) Every dish and drink feels customized and curated. Best modern Filipino flavors so far!

This place has such amazing food! It is so adorable in here and the staff was so friendly. They recommended some great dishes for us, and the flavors and presentation in each dish was so impressive! Our order was as follows: Pan De Sal with Ube Butter, Shrimp Lumpia, Sizzling Sisig, House-made Longanisa, Garlic Rice, Fried Milkfish, and Chicken Adobo. We truly enjoyed every dish we tried! Everything we got was rich in flavor and this meal was so memorable. I would definitely recommend the Shrimp Lumpia, Sizzling Sisig, Fried Milkfish, and House-made Longanisa for first timers!
